I think it is interesting that MTv provided the starting point for the msusic video industry and it only grew from there. Our generation has heard of MTV but many of us never actually watched it. Music videos for us are just something you have to look up on youtube

MTV evidently started the wave of music videos and effectively popularized many artists. I remember once seeing a clip of a show called MTV Cribs where famous people's houses would be shown off in order to wow the public.

That is cool that Video Killed the Radio Star was the first video played...very comical in my opinion!
