The Mirror

A closed shell keeping things inside

sharing much, but what's important, I hide.

Afraid to tell so much about me

though people think they've seen all there is to see.

Seeing a girl, happy, ready, and smart,

She's confident and good at her art.

I'm afraid I'll be told that it isn't right

But I won't be able to change my life.

I try to turn the other way,

But I don't know just what to say.

I had to write this for Creative Writing.  I don't really know what to think of the finished piece.  I like it a lot, but I just feel... not completely satisfied by it.

There's nothing wrong with it, in fact, it's great. I often feel like what I write is incomplete. Actually, unlike me, you feel free to share your "art" and you should feel confident about it. I'll post some of mine later.
