Bruno Major blends old song structures from The Great American Songbook with contemporary production on his new album “To Let A Good Thing Die.” The result is a nostalgic, yet contemporary collection of love songs for the Netflix and chill generation. We speak with Bruno Major about how he draws inspiration from the past to craft something new. He breaks down his songs "Nothing," "To Let A Good Thing Die," and "The Most Beautiful Thing," which he wrote with Finneas. There are a lot of great ideas in this podcast. The mix of styles and the thought to embrace older music toforge ahead with new sounds is incredible.

I think Bruno Major is exraordinarily talented. He reminds me of a really underground artist I found named Aaron Cole. He switches his sound up a lot.

I love the sounds that he creates with his music. The mix of jazz and pop interest me. I agree with him when he says he does not like bridges. I love the sound of verse, chorus, verse, chorus. I am absolutely going to look into Bruno Major more!

I really respect Bruno and love the way he writes. He is very creative and I thought it was very cool how he took something like the music in mario and that inspired him. I also agree with his point on how the words of a song are impotant to the music.

Bruno Major is one artist who blends classic jazz and soul styles with the popular and electronic music of today. He is a fantastic musician and his songs are catchy and thoughtful.

I think that Bruno Major's songs are some that I have never really heard before.  His voice is very relaxing to hear and the way he said that he gets lots of inspitation from Mario was really cool.  His music is music I've never really heard. I LOVED IT!

Bruno Major has a really unique blend of sort of a lo-fi feel mixed with pop lyrics that is really relaxing to listen to. In addition it feels like he places a lot of importance on the words instead of just throwing unconnected lines around like some artists do.

Bruno Major is and extremly talented soul. The way he connects the styles of jazz with the pop we listen to today is incredilble. He is an artist I have definetly started listening too!

Bruno's style is very relaxing. One of my favorite styles of music very different the way he combines jazz and pop. Id like to see this kind of music replace rap.

Bruno Major is a very talented artist with an incredibly unique sound. I think the ways that artists are becoming popular now, with streaming instead of record deals especially, are very interesting and that they provide opportunities for artists that otherwise may not have gotten the acclaim that they now have.

Bruno Major clearly has immense talent. His ability to make a contemporary song, with an essence of jazz and pop together, truly is amazing. I have been listening to Bruno Major for quite some time, and this podcast has shed light on exactly why I do.

I really like Bruno Major's music and I think someone else to listen to that tends to bridge a lot of genre gaps is Charlie Burgh specifically his two latest singles which are "Lancaster Nights" and "Title Guide to the Talkies".

Bruno Major is one of my favorite artists of all time. I have yet to listen to a song by him that I don't like. His music is very theraputic and calming.

I don't particularly love his music, but I can still appreciate it. It's pretty soothing.

Bruno Major does a great job at blending the more classic Jazz sound with the more modern electronic sound. I will definetly be listening to more of his work.

I enjoy the diversity and experimentation he has with his muisc because its not the same as everything else.

When i thought of traditional American music, the first music that came to mind is Copland since I have played more of his music than any of the traditional jazz standards.  I found it interesting how musicians in different genres of music can have such a different view on the most "American" music.

Bruno Major's music reminds me of another artist, Cody Fry. One of his songs that I think relates to Bruno's unique style is "I Hear a Symphony" which is a song that features undertones of Gershwin.

I do like Bruno Major, I like his appreciation for jazz and hopefully his pop/jazz inspiration can introduce listeners to it and let them explore and be more open to the genre of jazz music.

I like how Bruno Major is able to take music theory from older songs and apply it to his work, truly outstanding.
