iPod and Voice Composition

This is a piece that was created on an iPod Touch using the app called Pattern Music. This app allows composers to create tracks and "mix" them by dragging them up and down for volume and left and right for a stereo blend.

 North Allegheny is fortunate enough to have a School Board and administrators that truely value music education.  The 11th and 12th graders were given an iPod mobile learning lab in the Spring of 2010.  This lab made the students expolded with creativity!

 Mrs. Leckey, the AP music teacher, has engaged the students in many activities using iPods.  This is one example.  The composition was performed live on the iPod and sung during the AP composition night in the Spring of 2010.

 Thank you Mrs. Leckey for being a fantastic educator.
